The United States of America (USA) is set to finalize a massive military aid package to Ukraine worth about $2.5 billion in weapons, including for the first time Stryker combat vehicles, two sources familiar with the next package say, according to CNN, a US news network.
One of the sources said the package has not been finalized yet, but it could come before the end of the week.
The new aid, one of the largest packages to be announced since the war began in Ukraine last February, will include more Bradley Fighting Vehicles, according to the source.
Combined with the Stryker vehicles, this represents a significant escalation in the armored vehicles that the United States has committed to Ukraine in its fight against Russia, according to (CNN).
When asked by one of the sources if the United States was preparing to announce another security package for Ukraine, State Department spokesman Ned Price told CNN: "Stay tuned."
