We’re not even a week in and 2021 has already brought a new surprise, which is, the clogs trend is back.

The chunky, clunky footwear is back for this year and has been spotted on the 2020 designer catwalks.

At Paris Fashion Week, Hermès showcased its designs and dressed its models on the catwalk in a pair of smooth leather clogs with a classic stud finish.

The clogs are back for 2021, almost 50 years since they debuted in the fashion world. The shoes date back to the medieval period and were the traditional footwear for peasants that offered them protection from physical tasks.

However, the footwear is proving popular over recent months with their practical, effortless appeal – when formal shoes simply haven’t been necessary.

There are also so many different styles to choose from, depending on your personal taste such as the classic wooden options to Fabrizio Viti’s daisy versions and Gucci’s open-toed styles.

Other trendy shoes for 2021 includes leveled platforms, '90s and early 2000s shoes, shoe jewelry, ballet slippers, and kitten heels.
