Hillary Clinton asked a federal judge to punish former US President Donald Trump and his attorney over an earlier lawsuit in which Trump alleges that Hillary is frivolous accusing them of conspiring to undermine his state.
Trump and his lawyers are expected to pay $1.06 million in fees and legal costs incurred by Clinton and her 2016 presidential campaign to bring the lawsuit as a "political ploy," according to a document released in the Florida federal court on Monday.
Hillary Clinton's attorney David E. Kendall and other attorneys said in the joint suit, that the former US president's theories were clearly flawed and a killer from the start of this action.
US District Judge Donald Middlebrooks, who was appointed to the court by Bill Clinton, dismissed the lawsuit in September, ruling that it amounted to a "statement" Trump made too late and failed to support his alleged plot, despite 193 pages of allegations; however, Trump has appealed the ruling.
