Clint Eastwood's latest directorial feature "Cry Macho" has received a release date of Oct. 22, 2021.
Based on the 1970 novel of the same name, Cry Macho will see the iconic US actor playing a washed-up rodeo star that takes a job from his former boss to bring the man's young son back to Texas from rural Mexico.
The movie finished production in New Mexico in December and witnesses Eastwood reteaming with Warner Bros., the studio behind his last feature, 2019's Richard Jewell.
Last year, the studio announced day-and-date releases for its 17-film 2021 feature slate, with the films is set to debut in HBO Max for a one-month, which starts the same day the production is made available in U.S. theaters. Cry Macho will be included in this plan, receiving a dual streaming and theatrical release.
