Clashes intensify between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) as the war in the capital and areas in the west of the country enters its twelfth week.
"Reuters" news agency said that air strikes, artillery, and small arms fire could be heard, especially in the city of Omdurman, as well as in the capital, Khartoum, where the conflict is deepening a humanitarian crisis.
The RSF revealed that they shot down a warplane and a drone in Bahri, a suburb of Khartoum, but the army has not yet responded to these statements.
Last week, the army commander, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, called on young men to join the fight against the Rapid Support Forces.
The war affected cities in West Kordofan and Darfur, especially the city of El Geneina, located in the far west of the country.
The talks hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the coastal city of Jeddah under the auspices of the United States and Saudi Arabia have been suspended. The two countries had previously expressed their deep concern about the grave violations of the ceasefire by both the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces.
