Chris Pratt joined Chris Hemsworth in Marvel’s "Thor: Love and Thunder", which is set to be released in February 2022.
Pratt is set to reprise his role as Star-Lord, who is also known as Peter Quill, in the “Guardians of the Galaxy” franchise
The “Guardians of the Galaxy” star is joining a lineup that includes Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, who will actually become Thor in this sequel, and Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, as well as Christian Bale, who is set to play the villain in the upcoming Marvel film.
"Thor: Love and Thunder", the fourth “Thor” film, is set to begin production in Australia in January.
It is directed by Taika Waititi and written by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, who co-wrote the script with Waititi. The Oscar-winning director is also set to voice the boulder-bodied Kronan warrior, Korg, in the latest installment.
"Thor: Love and Thunder" is part of Marvel's Phase 4 slate of movies and TV shows, includes all of the Marvel Studios productions set to be released from 2021 through early 2022.
Marvel phase 4 also features "Black Widow" starring Scarlett Johansson, "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" starring Simu Liu, "The Eternals", an untitled "Spider-Man: Far From Home sequel" starring Tom Holland, and "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" starring Benedict Cumberbatch.
