Chris Pratt Shares Sweet Photo of Baby Daughter

Chris Pratt is showing off his and his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger's newborn daughter, Lyla Maria Schwarzenegger Pratt.

It is the couple's first child together, and the second for "The Guardian of the Galaxy” star. Pratt shares a 7-year-old son Jack with his ex-wife, actress Anna Faris.

Pratt posted a photo on Instagram of the couple's hands wrapped around a baby hand, captioning it with a message and two Bible verses.

"We are beyond thrilled to announce the birth of our daughter, Lyla Maria Schwarzenegger Pratt. We couldn't be happier. Both mom and baby are doing great. We are extremely blessed," he captioned.

Katherine’s brother, Patrick, confirmed the news on Sunday, revealing that the new mom and her child were doing great.

He did not mention when the baby was delivered, however, a source told ET that Pratt’s car was spotted at St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica, California, on Friday afternoon.

On August 1st, Pratt shared on Instagram stories a photo of himself with his pregnant wife, while they were taking a hike on Saturday.

The couple appeared standing in casual workout gear, with the expectant mom’s baby bump is in full view.

“Ready to pop / still don’t stop,” the “Guardians of the Galaxy” star captioned the photo, explaining that the pair went to the “top of the mountain today.”

Pratt expressing gratitude over making it down. “Kinda grateful it didn’t go down on the trail tho to be real.”

In February, Pratt said Katherine would make a great mom, and added that she has already been a great stepmom and that his heart, soul, and son are safe with her.

He stated that she has changed his life for the better in so many ways, adding, : "She’s got great parents, great siblings. She fills in all my many deficits.”

In June, Katherine opened up about preparing to give birth amid the coronavirus pandemic. She stated that she been keeping calm by safely surrounding herself with loved ones.

The couple tied the knot in Montecito, California on June 8, 2019. They got engaged on January 13, 2019, after dating for seven months.

Katherine’s dad, famed Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger, virtually appeared on the latest at-home episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and talked about his daughter’s pregnancy.

“Yeah, can you believe that? I mean, that is really exciting news that Katherine now, you know be pregnant and have a baby—I don’t know when exactly. Sometime this summer,” Arnold said.
