Chinese President Xi Jinping stressed that China and Vietnam should maintain firm confidence in their paths and systems, and strengthen solidarity and coordination.
This came during his meeting with Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh during his visit to the coastal city of Tianjin on Sunday to attend the 2025 Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit.
According to the Chinese Xinhua News Agency, the Chinese president expressed China's willingness to maintain high-level exchanges with Vietnam and jointly advance strategic cooperation, adding that the two sides should actively enhance cooperation in areas such as connectivity, the digital economy, and artificial intelligence.
For his part, the Vietnamese Prime Minister said that Vietnam and China share common strategic interests and are comrades on the path to socialism.
