Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit France next May 6 for two days.
Xi and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron are scheduled to discuss several issues, foremost of which is the war in Ukraine.
In a statement, French Elysee Presidency stated on Monday that this visit comes on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, and follows the visit of the French President to the cities of Beijing and Canton in April 2023.
It added that on this occasion, the French President will also accompany his Chinese counterpart on a tour of the Haute-Pyrenees.
Moreover, French presidency added that the discussions between both presidents will focus on crises at the international level, most notably the war in Ukraine and the situation in the Middle East, as well as trade issues, scientific, cultural and sports cooperation.
They will also discuss joint moves to confront global challenges, especially climate issues, biodiversity protection and the financial situation for the most vulnerable countries.
