Chinese President Xi Jinping began an international tour today, Tuesday, which includes Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.
During the tour, he will attend the 24th meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Astana, at the invitation of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
His tour also includes a state visit to Tajikistan at the invitation of Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, according to the Chinese newspaper "China Daily."
The delegation accompanying the Chinese president includes: Cai Qi, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee, and Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
