The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Premier Li Qiang will embark on a four-day international tour starting today, during which he will visit Russia and Belarus to strengthen bilateral relations and exchange views on issues of mutual interest.
According to the Chinese news agency Xinhua, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning stated, "During his visit to Moscow, the Chinese Premier will chair the 29th regular meeting between the heads of government of China and Russia, alongside his Russian counterpart, Mikhail Mishustin, with the goal of exchanging views on bilateral relations, enhancing practical and cultural cooperation, and addressing important issues of common concern."
Mao Ning added that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia, and it also signifies the beginning of the China-Russia Year of Cultural Exchange. She affirmed that China-Russia relations have maintained a healthy and stable development trajectory.
She further explained that China and Belarus share a comprehensive strategic partnership, which has seen accelerated growth in recent years, bolstering mutual political trust between the two sides. The China-Belarus cooperation has yielded fruitful results, particularly in the implementation of the "Belt and Road Initiative."
During his visit to Belarus, Premier Li Qiang is scheduled to hold talks with Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko to exchange views on bilateral relations and cooperation in various fields.
