Three Chinese astronauts landed safely on Earth early Saturday after reaching a new milestone by spending six months in space, doubling the country's longest single flight in space.

The Shenzhou-13 capsule that carried the two men and one woman, Zhai Zhigang, Ye Guangfu, and Wang Yaping, landed at 9:56 am at the local time at the Dongfeng landing site in Gobi Desert, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

Regarding the medical health of the mission's members, the medical team confirmed that three astronauts are in good health.

The trio started their mission last October and they were the second manned mission by China during 2021-2022 sent to the state's first permanent space station Tiangong.

In addition, Wang was named the first Chinese woman to have a spacewalk as she and her colleague Zhai installed space station equipment.

Moreover, they spent six months installing the required equipment and devices for the space station and connecting the required facilities for helping the successive missions do their research.
