Chinese Ambassador Hails 'Significant' Discovery of Pharaonic Coffins

During a video conference held this morning, the Chinese Ambassador to Cairo Liao Lichiang hailed the 'significant' archaeological discovery of Pharaonic coffins.

“A few days ago, the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities unearthed a huge archaeological discovery of pharaonic ancient coffins which had not been previously opened,"  Liao said.

“President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi also inaugurated our heritage exhibition, which was attended by more than 600 exhibitors, to reflect the return of business once again and attract tourists from everywhere in the world,” he mentioned.

The ambassador also stated that it is important, “to learn more about the Egyptian civilization and heritage,” as Chinese tourists interested in Egyptian history.
