On the occasion of the month of Ramadan, the Chinese Embassy and the Chinese Chamber of Commerce organized a charity event under the title "The Chinese and Egyptian peoples shoulder to shoulder."
The Chinese ambassador to Egypt, Liao Liqiang, said that the Chinese Embassy will distribute 7,000 Ramadan food cartons boxes to the people of 8 Egyptian governorates to deliver warmth and care to them, looking forward to spending a safe, healthy and sound Ramadan with the Egyptian people.
In his speech, the Chinese ambassador said that Ramadan is a holy month in which Muslims undergo physical and spiritual testing. He added that it is an important occasion to show solidarity and love. He confirmed that mutual respect, good neighborliness, unity and mutual assistance are among the traditional virtues of the Chinese nation.
Liqiang said that both China and Egypt have big people, and they carry out the historical mission of improving people's livelihood and guiding towards modernization. In recent years, Egypt has made remarkable achievements in social and living issues, foremost of which is the presidential initiative, "A Decent Life" put forward by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, in improving the people's livelihood for 58 million Egyptian citizens.
“We noticed that the Egyptian government recently organized Welcome Ramadan exhibitions to sell goods at low prices to celebrate Ramadan.
