Chinese airlines have extended the suspension of flights to Dubai until the end of March due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East and air traffic disruptions, according to Chinese aviation news agency Caixin.
Official schedules from carriers including Air China and China Eastern Airlines show no flights between China and Dubai from March 13 to March 31, with the earliest available routes now scheduled to resume on April 1.
Earlier this month, airlines including China Southern Airlines and Hainan Airlines began a partial resumption of services from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Haikou to Dubai. Sources clarified that this was not a full restoration of regular operations, and each flight will be evaluated individually for safety reasons.
The disruptions follow escalating military tensions in the region. On February 28, the US and Israel launched strikes on targets in Iran, including Tehran, while Iran carried out retaliatory attacks on Israeli territory and US military facilities in the Middle East, creating heightened risks for international air travel.
