Chinese technology company ZTE Corporation and Airtel Rwanda on Monday celebrated a decade of partnership at an event in Kigali, Rwanda's capital, which also featured the completion of the Airtel-ZTE Wireless Access Network Project, Xinhua reported.

Speaking at the event, Airtel Africa Chief Executive Officer Sunil Taldar praised ZTE for its reliability and innovation.

"Every idea we brought to the table, ZTE delivered with precision. Airtel Rwanda now operates on a scalable, cost-effective network that our customers recognize and appreciate. That is the true return on partnership," he said.

Airtel Rwanda Managing Director Sujay Chakrabarti said the collaboration has been instrumental in transforming Rwanda's digital landscape.

"Rooted in a shared commitment to empowering a smarter Rwanda, our partnership has delivered meaningful outcomes from RAN upgrades and VoLTE rollouts to advancing a greener, more efficient network future," he noted.

Zhang Jianpeng, senior vice president of ZTE Corporation, said the milestone marks a decade of shared commitment to innovation and infrastructure growth.

"ZTE and Airtel have worked hand in hand to drive innovation, strengthen Rwanda's digital infrastructure, and promote sustainability. This milestone reflects our shared vision of building a smarter, more connected Rwanda," he said.

Zhang added that ZTE remains committed to connecting the world through continuous innovation, offering advanced technologies and integrated solutions across wireless and wireline networks, devices, and telecom services.
