Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian stated today that China supports the post-war administration plan for Gaza, which has been accepted by the Palestinian people and approved by Arab countries.

According to the Chinese news agency Xinhua, during the Arab summit held in Egypt on Tuesday, Arab leaders endorsed Egypt’s plan for the reconstruction of Gaza, estimated to cost $53 billion. The plan aims to prevent the displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.

Additionally, the summit resulted in an agreement to form a non-factional technocratic committee to govern Gaza for at least six months under the umbrella of the Palestinian Authority.

Lin expressed China’s support for Egypt and other Arab nations in their efforts to:

-Ensure the effective implementation of a ceasefire in Gaza.

-Facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid.

-Restore security and stability in the region.

The spokesperson further emphasized that Gaza’s administration should adhere to the principle of "Palestinians governing Palestine", aligning with the two-state solution and the ultimate goal of achieving peaceful coexistence between Palestine and Israel, as well as long-term stability in the Middle East.
