China provided more than 100 countries and international organizations with 500 millions COVID-19 vaccine doses and concentrates, the Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Economic Affairs at the Foreign Ministry Guo Xuejun told Xinhua on Friday.
He added that the state deeply supported several developing countries in manufacturing vaccines as the world needs to increase the factories capacity for producing vaccines globally.
The official pointed out that the Chinese government assisted several Chinese vaccine corporations for launching collaborative vaccine production projects in UAE, Malaysia, Egypt, Turkey, and Indonesia.
Moreover, 84 countries from the 140 states that signed Belt and Road Initiative proposed to use the Chinese vaccines in the first half of this year, so China responding to their will and provided them with vaccines.
He asserted that his state will keep working with all parties to support the accessibility and affordability of the vaccines in poor and developing states.
