China’s Ministry of National Defense said its recent military drills around Taiwan clearly demonstrate the country’s strength and determination to combat separatism.
In a statement, the ministry said the exercises underscore the Chinese armed forces’ readiness to safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity, stressing that any attempts at secession would be firmly opposed.
The Chinese defense ministry also urged countries and international institutions to strictly adhere to the "One-China principle", calling on them to refrain from provoking crises related to issues in the Taiwan Strait.
Beijing reiterated that Taiwan is an inseparable part of China and warned against external interference, saying such actions threaten regional stability and peace.
