China successfully launched a Smart Dragon-3 rocket on Tuesday morning from the coast of Shandong Province, carrying the Jilin-05 satellite group into its designated orbit.
The launch was conducted at sea near the city of Rizhao and executed by the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Centre as part of China’s growing maritime space program.
The operation highlights Beijing’s continued expansion of its satellite deployment capabilities, using sea-based launches to improve flexibility and efficiency in placing satellites into orbit.
