On Sunday, China successfully launched the commercial "Lijian-1 Y5" rocket, which carried 15 satellites into space.
The launch took place from a commercial space innovation zone located in the northwestern region of China. This marks another significant achievement for China’s expanding space program.
According to reports from China’s official state news agency, Xinhua, the rocket deployed a range of satellites into their designated orbits.
These included the "Jilin-1 Gaofen" series, the "Yunyao-1" series, and the "Xiqiang-1" satellites. The launch was part of China's ongoing efforts to enhance its capabilities in satellite communication, Earth observation, and remote sensing, as well as to further its ambitions in commercial space exploration.
The Lijian-1 Y5 rocket, a part of China's growing commercial space industry, is designed to carry small to medium payloads into low Earth orbit.
It serves both government and private enterprises, as China continues to develop its space infrastructure and capabilities in the commercial sector.
