Today (Monday) the "Asia News International" (ANI) quoted sources as saying that the Indian and Chinese forces clashed in the Tawang sector of the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh, and the confrontation resulted in minor injuries in a few soldiers on both sides.
But a spokesman for India's foreign ministry did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
In June 2020, Indian and Chinese forces clashed in hand-to-hand combat in the Galwan Valley in the Ladakh region bordering the Chinese-controlled Tibetan plateau.
Twenty Indian soldiers were then killed, and China suffered an undisclosed number of casualties. Both sides beefed up their military presence, moving men, weapons, and supplies into the high desert area.
India and China share an un-demarcated border of 3,800 km. Their forces previously adhered to longstanding agreements to avoid the use of any firearms along the de facto border, known as the Line of Actual Control.
