China has announced its strong opposition to Israel's recognition of "Somaliland" as an independent sovereign state, as well as the agreement to establish diplomatic relations with the region.
During a regular press conference held on Monday, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian reaffirmed China's unwavering support for Somalia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
As reported by the Chinese news agency (Xinhua), Lin Jian stated that Beijing opposes any actions that would undermine the territorial unity of Somalia.
The spokesperson emphasized that China stands firmly by the Somali government in its efforts to maintain national stability and rejects any moves that challenge international norms regarding state sovereignty.
