This morning, China has warned its citizens against traveling to the United States and said that Chinese tourists have been unfairly treated there because of excessive measures to contain corona virus.

The statement of the Chinese Ministry of Tourism also cited the "security situation" in the United States.

China has repeatedly criticized the United States for what it saw as an exaggerated response to the spread of the virus, which included restrictions on visitors entering from China.

Earlier this month, the United States began enforcing strict travel restrictions in an attempt to contain the corona epidemic and the measures include a temporary ban on entry to foreigners who visited China in the previous 14 days upon arriving at the United States.

The procedures also apply to US citizens who have been in the Chinese province of Hubei, epicenter of the outbreak, in the two weeks prior to their return to the United States, and upon their return these citizens will be subject to a compulsory quarantine for two weeks.

Further more, returning Americans from other areas of mainland China in the 14 days prior to their return will undergo medical checks at the return ports and face an optional health quarantine for up to two weeks.

Meanwhile, the Chinese parliament decided to postpone the annual meeting, which was scheduled to start on March 5.

The authorities renewed the ban on all illegal trade in wild animals, the source of corona virus. The death toll from the virus in China has increased to 2,592 cases, and the number of infections has increased to 77,150, including 3,000 health workers, according to the authorities.

Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province, the epidemic center, allowed the non-residents to leave the city, who has been quarantined for a month if they did not show symptoms of infection and there was no friction between them and the infected people.
