The administration of US President Joe Biden has criticized China's decision to cancel an increasing number of flights departing from the United States of America (USA).

China is increasingly canceling flights departing from the USA due to passengers who later tested positive for "COVID-19".

The US administration warns that it may take action in response.

A US Department of Transportation spokesperson said: "China's actions are inconsistent with its obligations under the US-China Air Transportation Agreement."

The spokesman added: "We are dealing with (the Chinese government) on this matter, and reserve the right to take appropriate measures," according to Reuters news agency.

Yesterday, Wednesday, China ordered the cancellation of 6 more US flights during the coming weeks after the number of passengers who tested positive for COVID-19 rose, reaching 70 flights since the beginning of the year.

And the White House announced that the United States will increase by ten million the number of "COVID-19" examinations, intended for schools to avoid closing them while the wave of infections threatens an inevitable return to remote work.

And the International Air Transport Association (IATA), announced that the mutant "Omicron", from the Coronavirus, caused a sharp decline in ticket sales in the year 2021, accusing governments of "overreacting" to the outbreak of the mutant by closing their borders.

The Coronavirus (also known as COVID-19) has killed more than 5.503 million people in the world since it appeared in China in December 2019, according to a census conducted by Agence France-Presse (AFP), according to official sources, Wednesday.
