On Monday, China emphasized the necessity of "fully" executing United Nations resolutions regarding the cease-fire in Gaza, which would facilitate the prompt release of hostages.

In a statement, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said: "The urgent need is to thoroughly implement the pertinent UN Security Council resolutions, achieve an immediate cease-fire, and establish conditions conducive to the swift release of those who are being held captive."

The official expressed China's profound sorrow over the deaths of six Israeli captives.

Mao Ning further indicated that China remains committed to working alongside the international community "to contribute constructively" to efforts aimed at reducing tensions.

Despite a UN Security Council resolution calling for an immediate cease-fire, Israel has persisted in its aggressive military actions in Gaza following an attack by the Palestinian resistance group Hamas on October 7.

The ongoing Israeli offensive has led to nearly 40,300 Palestinian fatalities, predominantly among women and children, and over 93,100 injuries, as reported by local health authorities.
