On Saturday, Chilean President Sebastian Pinera received 2nd dose of the Chinese Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine, at the Clinical Hospital of Chile's Air Force in the capital Santiago.

"In the fight against the pandemic, we have two great tools, two great allies. One is the vaccine and the other is taking care of yourselves," Pinera told reporters after his vaccination.

On February 11, Chile received its first shipment of the Chinese coronavirus vaccine and is planning to roll it out across the country next week.

Last month, the World Health Organization (WHO) team revealed that there is no evidence that COVID-19 was circulating in the Chinese city of Wuhan before December 2019.

At a press conference to unveil the findings of the 1st phase of an international inquiry into the origins of the pandemic, a WHO expert said that the animal source of the Coronavirus has not been determined yet.
