Child Museum to Receive Egyptians for Observing Great Conjunction

The Children's Civilization and Creativity Center (Child Museum) will host an event for observing the rare great conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn on Monday. The museum will open its doors for all Egyptians who want to observe the event from 5 pm to 10 pm.

Dr. Nabil Helmi, the head of the Heliopolis Association, declared that the center will provide visitors with telescopes for observing the historical moment of the conjunction between both planets.

He expressed that this event occurs every 397 years as the distance between Jupiter and Saturn will be only 0.01 degree, calling all Egyptians to witness the event.

Child Museum

Dr. Osama Abdel Wareth, the director of The Children's Civilization and Creativity Center, indicated that those planets conjunct every 20 years, but this conjunction will be the closest and the biggest in centuries.

He also highlighted that the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics will participate at the event by providing various telescopes directed by Dr. Gad El Kadi for raising the awareness of Egyptian youth and children and encouraging them to know more about astronomy, and sun researches.

A rare astral event will occur on Monday represented in Saturn-Jupiter conjunction, attracting the attention of the astrologists.

Last December, Bassant Youssef, celebrated Tarot Reader and astrologist, expressed in a phone interview with Amr Adib, this December may witness more tragic events due to this rare conjunction.

She added various huge historical incidents that occurred during the conjunction between the two planets for example in the assassination of President Sadat, and the Arab-Spring revolutions.

“God only knows what would happen, but, 2020 started with rare conjunction between Pluto and Saturn and it will be ended with this dangerous one,” she continued.
