Chanel announced Monday it will present its cruise 2022 collection on November 2 in Dubai.
The collection was first unveiled last May at the Carrières de Lumières in the South of France, which was the setting of the 1959 movie “Le Testament d’Orphée” (Testament of Orpheus), directed by Jean Cocteau, who is a friend of Gabrielle Chanel.
Creative director Virginie Viard worked with both modernity and punk looks and presented 66 designs. Studded leather, fishnets, layered chokers and necklaces, and garter belt bags were featured in the pre-filmed show.
The collection also featured Chanel logo lip rings, inspired by the late and longtime muse Stella Tennant.

Chanel presented its cruise 2015 show in Dubai back in 2014, constructing a vast pavilion on a man-made island that offers a view of one of the most futuristic skylines in the world. The emirate has expanded greatly since and cemented its reputation as a fast-growing luxury market and tourist hub.
The French luxury fashion house did not specify the venue for the November event.
