Challenges And Ambitions

A new government took the office to begin a new phase. I hope it will be up to the challenges at a time when the people expect a lot from it. They expect it to solve their current problems, raise their morale, and stand by them.

Well, the whole world are suffering from these problems, and we know the circumstances they are going through, but we know that the government will find solutions to all these challenges. Over 11 days, Parliament set up committees to respond to the government’s statement and made recommendations, the most important of which are controlling prices, reducing inflation, controlling imbalances in supply chains, enhancing energy security, and applying advanced technologies and new measures to improve the efficiency of energy consumption in various sectors, while developing mechanisms for implementing electrical interconnection and smart grid projects because of their major role in energy efficiency and waste control, enhancing cybersecurity to protect individuals’ money and data, as well as public and private institutions, renewing religious discourse, building people and enhancing their well-being with an integrated health system and a better educational system, providing jobs for all, achieving water security and environmental sustainability by protecting the Nile River via strengthening regional and international cooperation to protect water resources and reduce pollution, setting up legislations to protect it from industrial and agricultural waste, working on addressing the effects of the climate change phenomenon, reducing pollution, developing natural resources, and implementing the national strategy for climate change, while starting to implement the second phase of the interactive map of climate change risks.

The people are following up all this, but they are waiting to see something tangible, a solution to the problem of high prices, a solution to the problem of reducing electrical loads; the new government came at a time when the whole world is suffering from unrest, developments, and crises, in addition to regional wars. It is a stage that required that we all stand together to protect our national security, confront economic challenges, and overcome the wave of inflation and rising prices. We all know the volume of the challenges facing the entire world, but the citizen is waiting for solutions and we hope that the government could find a solution to these challenges. May God grant the new government success in meeting the aspirations of a people who expect a lot from it
