Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority Osama Rabie announced on Monday that about 532 ships had successfully crossed the canal since the Ever Given crisis.

Rabie noted, in a phone interview with the “Cairo Talk” show, that a huge number of ships had crossed the canal during the last period after the Ever Given re-floated successfully, adding that that 90 ships departed daily.

Moreover, he affirmed in the show, hosted by the journalist Khairy Ramadan and the journalist Karima Awad, that resuming navigation has been 100% accomplished as he promised.

EVER GIVEN Panamanian container ship floated successfully last Monday after responding to the towing maneuvers.

The ship’s course was significantly modified by 80% and the stern of the ship was away from the shore by a distance of 102 meters instead of the earlier 4 meters.

Rabie sent a message of reassurance to the international maritime community to resume navigation in the canal once the vessel is fully floated and examined.

The Chairman praised the heroes who accomplished this great achievement, citing their exerted efforts during the last period.

Also, he asserted that he has full confidence that the work will be 100% accomplished.
