President Marshal Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno of the Republic of Chad received H.E. Adel bin Abdulrahman Al-Asoumi, President of the Arab Parliament, at the Toumaï Palace in N’Djamena on the sidelines of the 13th session of the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace, hosted by the Chadian capital.
During the meeting, President Déby Itno expressed his pride in Chad hosting this important session, emphasizing that peace and tolerance are fundamental values. He reaffirmed Chad’s commitment to supporting international initiatives aimed at promoting dialogue, coexistence, and the rejection of violence and extremism.
For his part, the President of the Arab Parliament commended Chad’s efforts, under the leadership of President Déby Itno, to foster peaceful coexistence and reject extremism and violence. He praised the successful organization of the session in Chad and the country’s active role in promoting the values of peace and tolerance regionally and internationally.
Al-Asoumi also highlighted the deep fraternal relations between Chad and Arab countries, stressing the shared commitment to continued coordination and cooperation on issues of mutual interest to strengthen peace and security in the region and the world
