Chad Michael Murray to Play Serial Killer Ted Bundy in New Movie

American actor Chad Michael Murray is set to play infamous serial killer Ted Bundy in new movie "American Boogeyman".

"American Boogeyman" centered around a detective and FBI profiler who makes it his mission to pursue and bring down Bundy.

The movie, which has just been secured by Voltage Pictures, is written and directed by Daniel Farrands.

"American Boogeyman" also features Teen Wolf actress Holland Roden and Insidious actress Lin Shaye.

Murray is the latest actor to take on the role of the infamous serial killer. Zac Efron was the most recent actor to play Ted Bundy, who previously confessed that his mental health was 'put to the test' whilst filming the 2019 movie "Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile".

Bundy was also portrayed by James Marsters in the 2008 movie "The Capture of the Green River Killer", Cary Elwes in the 2004 movie "The Riverman', Billy Campbell in the 2003 movie "The Stranger Beside Me", Michael Reilly Burke in the 2002 movie "Ted Bundy", and Mark Harmon in the 1986 movie "The Deliberate Stranger".

"American Boogeyman" is scheduled to be released on September 20.
