Celebrities Who Passed Away in 2019

As we bid farewell to 2019 and the year 2020 approaches, we also bid farewell to the celebrities who have passed away this year.

Nadja Regin (1931-2019)

Serbian actress, Nadja Regin, best known for roles in the James Bond films “From Russia With Love” and “Goldfinger”, died at the age of 87, on April 6.

Regin left acting to pursue publishing in the 1980s.

Mahmoud El Gendy (1945-2019)

Egyptian veteran actor, Mahmoud El Gendy passed away on April 11, after a battle with illness at the age of 74.

El Gendy was suffering from a health crisis which led to his hospitalization, where he continued to receive treatment for about 10 days until his death.

Peter Mayhew (1944-2019)

English-American actor, Peter Mayhew, best known for portraying Chewbacca in the Star Wars film series, died of a heart attack on April 30. He was 74.

Mohsena Tawfik (1939-2019)

Egyptian veteran actress, Mohsena Tawfik passed away on May 6, after a battle with illness at the age of 80.

Mohamed Negm (1944-2019)

Prominent comedian-actor, Mohamed Negm passed away on June 5, after a battle with illness at the age of 75.

Negm was suffering from a health crisis which led to his hospitalization, where he continued to receive treatment until his death.

Ezzat Abou Aouf (1948-2019)

Egyptian veteran actor Ezzat Abou Aouf departed from our world on July 1, after a long struggle with illness. He was 71.

Cameron Boyce (1989-2019)

American actor, Cameron Boyce, best known for his roles in Disney Channel hits "Jessie" and "Descendants", passed away in his sleep at age 20, on July 6.

Denise Nickerson (1957-2019)

Denise Nickerson, best known for her role in the 1971 musical film “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory”, passed away at the age of 62.

The actress died at a hospital in Colorado on July 10, after her family removed her from life support.

In June 2018, Denise experienced a severe stroke after which she entered ICU for treatment.

Dutch actor Rutger Hauer passed away on July 19 after a brief illness at the age of 75.

Farouk Al-Feshawi (1952-2019)

Egyptian veteran actor Farouk Al-Feshawi passed away on July 25, after a brief but brave battle with cancer at the age of 67.

Russi Taylor (1944-2019)

Russi Taylor, the voice of Minnie Mouse, passed away on July 26. She was 75.

Toni Morrison (1931-2019)

Nobel Prize-winning novelist Toni Morrison passed away on August 5 after a brief illness at the age of 88.

Kylie Rae Harris (1989-2019)

Texas-based country singer Kylie Rae Harris passed away at age 30 in a three-vehicle car crash in northern New Mexico, on September 4.

Harris was driving at speeds in excess of 100 MPH.

Talaat Zakaria (1960-2019)

Egyptian actor Talaat Zakaria passed away on October 8, after a struggle with illness at the age of 58.

The comedian was taken to the 6th of October Hospital, where he died hours later, following health deterioration in the early hours of the day.

Robert Forster (1941-2019)

Actor Robert Forster passed away on October 11 after battling brain cancer. He was 78.

Haitham Ahmed Zaki (1984-2019)

Egyptian actor, Haitham, the son of late legendary actor, Ahmed Zaki, and actress, Hala Fouad, departed from our world on November 7, after suffering a sudden circulatory collapse. He was 35.

Shaaban Abdel Rahim (1957 -2019)

Folklore singer, Shaaban Abdel Rahim passed away on December 3, after a battle with illness.

Abdel Rahim died at the age of 62, after being admitted to the hospital after few hours.
