Celebrities have reached out to Egyptian actress Yosra El Lozy after a bully called her the "mother of the deaf".

The bully commented on El Lozy's latest post on "Instagram", and described her as the "mother of the deaf" because of her first daughter's poor hearing.

She slammed the bully and provided a little awareness of the correct way to address people with hard of hearing noting the correct term to call them is "hard of hearing" or "deaf", and not dumb.

El Lozy also highlighted her pride in being the mother of a deaf child who will become an outstanding, educated, and self-reliant person without being a burden on anyone.

She noted that her daughter inspired her to speak in talk shows and ask for early detection for newborns, which will make all Egyptians perform a hearing test at birth.

El Lozy pointed out that this will contribute positively to the lives of families and allow deaf and hard of hearing children receive support from an early age to be able to properly learn and not be a burden and integrate into society.
