Celebrities are mourning the death of Veteran Egyptian actor, Mahmoud Yassin, who died Wednesday morning after a struggle with illness at the age of 79.
The last period of Yassin's life witnessed many rumors about his illness and death.
On August 4, the actor’s widow, former actress Shahira, disclosed for the first time details about his illness with TV presenter Wael Elebrashy.
Shahira confirmed in a phone interview that Yassin was suffering from Alzheimer’s deceases for 8 years, noting that there is no cure or any improvement in his condition.
Several celebrities also took to social media to mourn the late actor including, Asser Yassin, Elham Shahin, Menna Shalabi, Mohamed Sobhi, Amr Diab, Nancy Ajram, Elissa, Mohamed Fouad, Sawsan Badr, Dorra, Carole Samaha, Soheir Ramzy, Reham Abdel Ghafour, Khaled El Nabawy, Mona Zaki, Assala.
Also, the UN World Food Programme's (WFP) mourned Yassin's death, who served as its Goodwill Ambassador against hunger for the Middle East and North Africa, for more than a decade.
