CCCPA, MFO Discuss Joint Cooperation

The Cairo International Center for Conflict Resolution, Peacekeeping & Peacebuilding (CCCPA) and the Multinational Force & Observers (MFO) discussed ways to enhance cooperation in peacekeeping operations in the region.

CCCPA Director-General Ahmed Abdel-Latif and MFO Director-General Elizabeth Dibble led the meeting, which was attended by Bradley Lynch, the MFO’s Director General’s Representative (DGR) in Cairo.

Abdel-Latif provided an overview of the Center’s activities, especially in peacekeeping training with relevant national institutions.

"CCCPA collaborates closely with the UN, Arab League, and African Union, as an AU Center of Excellence, Chair of NeTT4Peace, Secretariat of IAPTC, and Aswan Forum for Sustainable Peace and Development," he noted.

In turn, Dibble hailed Egypt’s key role in advancing peace and security regionally and internationally and expressed appreciation for Egyptian authorities’ continued support to the MFO.
