CBE: Remittances from Egyptians Abroad Up by 10.5%

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) said in a statement on Thursday that remittances from Egyptian working abroad increased 10.5% on an annual basis in the first ten months of the FY2020/21.

Remittances recorded an increase of 10.5% by about $2.5 billion to record about $25.8 billion between July/April of FY2020/21, compared to about $23.4 billion, year-on-year.

Remittances from Egyptians amounted to $25.8 billion as of April, up from $23.4 billion, year-on-year.

According to data, the amount of transfers increased by 34% in April to $2.5 billion, compared to $1.8 billion, year-on-year.
