The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) announced that remittances from Egyptians abroad increased by 10.2% during the first 7 months of this year, with an increase of $1.7 billion, on an annual basis.
CBE stated, in a statement issued on Sunday that the remittances of Egyptians working abroad recorded about $18.7 billion from January until July 2021, compared to $17 billion, year-on-year.
On a monthly basis, the central bank showed a decline in remittances from Egyptians abroad during the month of July, by a slight rate of 3%, to record about $2.79 billion, compared to about $2.88 billion during the same in 2020.
