Hassan Abdullah, Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) said that $100 million has been provided for food and dairy oils in accordance with the requests of the Minister of Supply, Ali Al-Moselhi.
The governor added that ongoing coordination is taking place to provide the dollars necessary to provide more goods and products, pointing to what was provided to import meat from Djibouti recently.
This came during a meeting headed by PM Mostafa Madbouly, today, to follow up on efforts to provide basic goods.
The Prime Minister pointed out the coordination and cooperation being done with the relevant agencies to quickly release some goods in ports across the country, and provide the necessary liquidity in dollars needed.
Madbouly confirmed the continuation of work to provide production inputs for a number of local manufacturing processes, especially for food products and commodities, in support of the industrial sector and to provide those products and commodities.
