The Central Bank of Egypt has announced that all banks operating in the domestic market will suspend operations on Thursday, July 2, in observance of the anniversary of the June 30 Revolution.
Bank branches are scheduled to resume normal operations and reopen to the public on Sunday, July 5, 2026.
The official holiday comes as part of the banking sector’s recognition of the national occasion, granting employees an official day off.
In a statement, the Central Bank of Egypt confirmed that automated teller machines (ATMs) operated by banks will remain fully operational throughout the holiday period to ensure customers can continue withdrawing and depositing funds.
