The authorities in Cambodia announced on Wednesday that one person was killed, three others were injured, and a number of ancient statues were destroyed as a result of a storm that struck Siem Reap Province in the north of the country.
A huge tree fell on a car as a result of a strong storm that struck the ancient Angkor temple complex, which is considered the oldest in the country, killing the driver immediately and injuring three passengers, ABC network reported.
The network added that a number of statues at the entrance to the archaeological complex were damaged by the storm, and the authorities later worked to remove the ruins of destruction from the most famous tourist site in the country.
