Lebanon's National News Agency reported that the latest Israeli airstrike on the Jnah area in Beirut's southern suburbs targeted a three-story building in the densely populated Al-Miqdad neighborhood, opposite the southern entrance to Rafik Hariri University Hospital.
The agency added that the strike resulted in casualties and injuries among residents, causing extensive damage. It noted that a number of the wounded were transferred to Al-Zahraa Hospital.
The National News Agency also reported that Israeli warplanes carried out five airstrikes on Beirut's southern suburbs.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese army announced the death of a soldier in an Israeli attack in southern Lebanon.
Earlier on Sunday, the Israeli army announced that its air force had begun attacking infrastructure belonging to the Lebanese group Hezbollah in Beirut.
