Cardi B Featured on Blackpink 'The Album' Track List

K-pop girl group Blackpink released Monday the tracklist for their upcoming album, which is set to be released on Friday, October 2.

'The Album' consists of 8 songs, including two collaborations with Cardi B, and Selena Gomez.

The K-pop girl group – which comprises of Jennie, Lisa, Rosé, and Jisoo –have collaborated with Cardi B on the song 'Bet You Wanna', and with Gomez on the song "Ice-cream".

Blackpink pre-released two tracks from the album "How You Like That", and "Ice Cream", both made a huge success.

The band has consistently dominated the music charts not only in South Korea, but also in the US, with hits such as "Kill This Love", "DDU-DU-DDU-DU", and “Ice-Cream”.

During their four-year career, Blackpink has had a number of high-profile collaborations, including 'Sour Candy' with Lady Gaga, and 'Kiss and Make Up' with Dua Lipa.

On the other hand, Blackpink’s documentary 'Light Up the Sky' is heading to Netflix on October 14.

The film documented their journey to global stardom, which is set to include exclusive footage of the band and interviews.

It also tracked the early stages of their career, right up until their 2019 Coachella performance. The film is directed by Caroline Suh and produced by RadicalMedia.

“The K-pop phenomenon has been sweeping the globe and Blackpink has arguably become the most recognizable and most popular girl group in the world.” Netflix’s Adam Del Deo, vice president of documentary features, said in a statement.

In 2016, the group debuted with their single album, “Square One”. They were the first girl group to debut under YG Entertainment in six years after 2NE1.

Blackpink’s commercial success in their first five months earned them several rookie awards at major Korean year-end music award shows, including the Asia Artist Awards, Melon Music Awards, Golden Disc Awards, Seoul Music Awards, and Gaon Chart Music Awards.

Additionally, Billboard named them one of the best new K-pop groups of 2016.

They also reached number one on the weekly, popularity, music video, and K-pop music video charts of China’s biggest music-streaming website QQ Music.

As of 2019, Blackpink is the highest-charting female K-pop act on both Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200.
