Cardi B Announces Pregnancy at BET Awards

American rapper Cardi B is expecting her second child with her husband Offset.

The rapper announced the big news at Sunday's BET Awards during her performance with Migos.

The star took to the stage in a diamante-studded jumpsuit, with a cut-out section for the baby bump.

Footage of Cardi’s performance is now circulating online, featuring the singer joining Migos on-stage, which Offset is one-third of.

Later on, the rapper shared on Instagram a photo of her baby bump and captioned: “#2! ♥️”

She won two prizes at the ceremony, best video and best collaboration, for WAP, featuring Megan Thee Stallion.

This is the second time for Cardi to announce her pregnancy on live television. The singer previously revealed that she was expecting her first child, Kulture, on Saturday Night Live, who she welcomed on July 10, 2018.

This year, the BET (Black Entertainment TV) Awards, which celebrate achievements by black artists, was held  under the theme of "Year of the Black Woman".

Megan Thee Stallion was the big winner of the evening, during which she received four prizes, including two for WAP. She also picked up best female hip-hop artist for the second year in a row; and the viewer's choice award for Savage featuring Beyoncé.

Rap pioneer Queen Latifah was given the lifetime achievement award, while British singer Bree Runway won the best new international act, and Nigeria's Burna Boy took the best international act for the third year in a row.

Lil Baby took the best male hip-hop artist for the first time, while H.E.R. beat 10-time winner Beyoncé in the best female R&B category. The late Chadwick Boseman was named best actor, while Judas and the Black Messiah was named best movie.
