CAPMS: US Investments in Egypt Grow by 19.8% during 2021/2020

Today, Saturday, data from the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMS) revealed that the value of US investments in Egypt increased to $9.2 billion during the fiscal year 2020/2021, compared to $7.7 billion during the fiscal year 2019/2020, an increase of 19.8%.

On the other hand, the value of remittances from Egyptians working in the United States of America (USA) recorded $1.4 billion during the fiscal year 2020/21, compared to $975.2 million during the fiscal year 2019/2020, an increase of 40.9%, while the value of remittances from Americans working in Egypt amounted to $42.8 million during the fiscal year 2020/ 2021 compared to $49.9 million during the 2019/2020 fiscal year, a decrease of 14.1%.

The CAPMS indicated that the value of trade exchange between Egypt and the USA increased to reach $8.6 billion in 2021, compared to $6.3 billion in 2020, an increase of 37.4%.
