CAPMAS: Egyptian Exports to Greece Hit $1.7 Billion

Data from the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) revealed Thursday an increase in the value of Egyptian exports to Greece to $1.7 billion in 2022, compared to $1.6 billion, year-on-year, an increase of 5.3%. 

The value of Egyptian imports from Greece reached $418.6 million in 2022 compared to $409.6 million in 2021, an increase of 2.2%.

The agency indicated that the value of trade exchange between Egypt and Greece increased to $2.2 billion in 2022, compared to $2.1 billion in 2021, an increase of 4.7%.

The value of Greek investments in Egypt recorded $3.6 million during the H1 of the fiscal year 2022/23, compared to $3.5 million during the same period of the fiscal year 2021/2022, an increase of 2.9%.

The value of remittances of Egyptians working in Greece amounted to $15.1 million during the fiscal year 2020/21, compared to $10.1 million during the fiscal year 2020/21, an increase of 49.1%, while the value of remittances from Greeks working in Egypt amounted to $5.1 million during the FY 2020/21 compared to $3.4 million.
