On Sunday, the Canadian federal government announced an additional $100 million in humanitarian support Ukraine over the worsening humanitarian crisis in the country and the neighboring countries.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced the aid during a fundraiser on social media.
"Whether it's food, water, shelter or medical assistance - we will continue to support you and provide the assistance you need at this time," Trudeau said in a statement. "We are standing up for Ukraine."
With today's announcement, Canada have provided $245 million in humanitarian aid to Ukraine. $145 million of this amount has been allocated to the United Nations, the Red Cross Movement and NGOs.
