The Confederation of the African Football (CAF) announced on Monday that newly-built Japoma Stadium in the Cameroonian city of Douala has been chosen to host the CAF Champions League one-match final.

It is worth mentioning that CAF Executive Committee decided, during its meeting last June, that the Interclub competitions of Champions League and Confederation finals would be played on a single game.

In a statement, CAF said that Cameroon has been selected to host the final, which will be held for the first time on a single match.

"The newly-built Japoma Stadium in the Cameroonian city of Douala will stage the final of the premier continental club championship on 29 May 2020," the statement read.

The final is set to take place on Friday, May 29.

Egyptian giants Al Ahly and Zamalek qualified for the semi-final of the competition, alongside Morocco's Wyada and Raja.

The Red Devils reached the semi-final after pulling off a 3-1 aggregate win over Mamelodi Sundowns in the quarter-finals, while the White Knights reached the last four after knocking holder Espérance out of the competition following a 3-2 aggregate victory.

On the other hand, Morocco's Wyday advanced to the semi-final after defeating Étoile Sportive du Sahel 2-1 on aggregate, while Raja snatched a hard-fought 2-1 aggregate victory over TP Mazembe to reach the last four.
