With the knockout stages of the Africa Cup of Nations now in full swing, host nation Cameroon take on debutants Comoros at the Paul Biya Stadium for a place in the semi-finals on Monday.
The Indomitable Lions have enjoyed an unbeaten campaign so far, finishing top in Group A, while Comoros stunned Ghana in a thrilling group finale to progress to the next phase of the tournament.
Teams news:
Cameroon boast several European-based superstars in their camp and with the business end of the competition now in full motion, we expect Conceicao to name a familiar side on Monday.
In defence we expect to see an unchanged back four of Collins Fai, Harold Moukoudi, Michael Ngadeu and Seattle Sounders full-back Nouhou Tolo shielding Andre Onana between the sticks.
Further up the pitch, Andre Zambo Anguissa, Karl Toko Ekambi and Nicolas Moumie Ngamaleu have started each of the Indomitable Lions' three games so far and the trio should be tasked with winning the midfield battle once again.
Aboubakar has been pivotal in Cameroon's journey so far, scoring five goals in three games and the 30-year-old forward will undoubtedly be one to keep an eye out for.
With his strike against Cape Verde last time out, the former Porto man has now equalled Samuel Eto'o''s record of being the only Cameroonian to score in three straight AFCON matches and he will look ink his name in the nation's history books on Monday.
Meanwhile, Comoros have reportedly been rocked with multiple COVID-19 cases, throwing their preparation for Monday's historic last-16 clash into jeopardy.
Most notably, head coach Abdou and the goalkeeping duo of Moyadh Ousseni and Ali Ahmada have all contracted the virus, and while there will be a fresh batch of testing before the game, their participation is currently a major doubt.
Salim Ben Boina was hooked off the pitch just 26 minutes into the game against Ghana last time out through injury, but the 30-year-old goalkeeper could be rushed back into action due to the COVID situation in the squad.
Ben, who boasts an impressive 16 goals in 31 outings for the Coelacanth, opened his account at the tournament against Ghana and we expect the Red Star Belgrade man to lead the line once again.
